When i first heard about the concept of swingers ... i found it totally disgusting.
I could not believe there are people on this planet with such a sick mind.
Recently ... a dear friend ... Leo ... who’s from Vegas ... told me his story that was so related with the subject.
He actually could not accept the concept either and totally condemned this kind of behavior ... not realizing that he was still young and that life will probably offer him all kinds of strange experiences.
And guess what?!
Life put him in the position of sharing the person he loved ... with someone else.
But it was funny cause the Universe did not bothered to ask him is he wants to practice the concept of swinging ... or not.
It just happened.
He thought he can have a love affair with someone else’s wife ... and that lady will have sexual contacts only with him.
But he was also expecting as his wife to be a good person and ignore that he cheated on her and not revenge on him ... by cheating him back.
But guess what?!
This ... just happened.
Leo cheated his wife because he wanted to experience something new ... being bothered just with the life from home ... but karma played around ... and Leo received the same result back from his wife.
Without even noticing he became same as the swingers ... the ones that he detested so much.
But what was the difference between what he did and a swinger ... because ... in fact ...the result was the same?!
Leo changed for a short period of time his wife with another lady ... that was in fact married ... but his wife did the same as a reply to his actions.
You see the only difference is that they did not discussed the situation before doing it ... because doing all that ... maybe the desire existed on the both sides.
Leo’s wife was not agreeing the swingers concept either ... but she was acting same as them.
You see ... what i actually want to say is that many times in life we refuse to accept different kind of weird concepts ... and we end up doing it in a unconscious way ... without realizing it.
I know ... life is weird.
I know it by a long, long time.
We watch tv and see at the news that someone was arrested because of fraud ... and we even judge that person ... but one day we just do the same.
We hear a story that someone betrayal his family just because of his business ... we condemned that behavior ... and few years later we just do the same.
The list ... is probably huge ... and truth be told we have a dark side inside of us ... and even if we see it so clear and we judge everyone around that is doing something wrong .... later on we do the same ... but maybe in a unconscious way.
Yes ... we have a weird attraction to experience weird things ... but ... maybe the difference between Leo and a swinger is that the swinger was accepting the journey on the path he wanted to follow.
There could be many reasons and one of them could be that the swingers wants that as ... an abstract method of forcing themselves to practice the art of detachment.
The same .... the one is doing the fraud is trying to force things to get rich sooner ... probably not realizing that he already have enough money to be happy.
We have this abstract desire of more and a hunger of experiences ... some of them being illicit ... and we go to
that direction both ways ... conscious or unconscious.
So ... maybe is time to stop judging people ... and better ask why they did what they did ... and if we will follow the paths of those experiences also.
